Kids love sandwiches. They are easy to eat, familiar, and full of flavor! Our district has been playing around with specialty sandwiches for years now. We have developed a Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich, served Monte Cristos on waffles, and topped jalapeno popper burgers. However, one sandwich returns repeatedly, and that is our Cuban. A fresh baked roll, cut and piled with seasoned pulled pork and sliced deli ham, it is topped with cheese and pickle slices, and finished with yellow mustard before being pressed in the oven to resemble true Cubanos.
